KPLC Lake Charles, Louisiana meteorologist Ben Terry lost his house during Hurricane Laura in 2020.
Terry has in Houston's Texas Medical Center battling colorectal cancer through daily radiation therapy sessions at Houston Methodist Radiation Oncology.
But through it all, Terry has continued to broadcast his weather forecasts from a Houston hotel to his viewers in Louisiana.
"The radiation has to be done five days a week and it has to be done here in Houston," Terry told abc13's Charlie Haldeman. "I live in Lake Charles. I can't physically drive back and forth. If you've ever been to Lake Charles from Houston, it's not a fun trip to do once a week, let alone once a day."
