The longtime weeknight anchor on KXAN News at 5, 6 and 10pm newscasts hit the airwaves of the capital of Texas station's 6pm show on August 29, 1990.
According to his station, that makes Hadlock the longest continuously serving news anchor in Austin television.
On tonight's early evening news, anchor Sydney Benter stopped the show for surprise messages from Hadlock's past co-anchors.
You can see those messages from former KXAN anchors like Shannon Wolfson, Stacie Schaible, Sally Holiday, Leslie Rhode and Michelle Valles.
