Dave Ward returns home after hospitalization

Dave Ward remains hospitalized but his condition is improving
abc13 KTRK is reporting that iconic anchor Dave Ward has been hospitalized with an infection.
The station says his tests results for COVID-19 were negative.
“Dave loves Houston, and the beautiful thing is, you love Dave back,” Dave's wife Laura told channel 13. “He never asked you for anything until two weeks ago, when he requested prayers on my behalf. Now it is my turn, hopefully with your help, to return the favor. Please join me and Dave’s Channel 13 family in praying him back to good health.”
Dave appeared on channel 13 last month to ask for prayers for Laura Ward after she battled double pneumonia in the hospital.
His prayer request was answered by loyal viewers and Laura was able to return home and is recovering.
Anchor Melanie Lawson said on Live at 5 she had talked to Ward in the hospital today and he hopes to be home soon.
