Bo Corona launches Puro Tejano Fierro 101.1 HD2

Puro Tejano Fierro launches with Bo Corona on 101.1 KLOL HD-2 La Grande 107.5 FM HD band

Houston and Dallas both have a new Tejano station as of noon Monday with Puro Tejano Fierro on HD digital radio and online streaming (see the video embed of the launch).

The new Tejano outlet is project of Houston radio legend Bo Corona from stations like Super Tejano 108 KXTJ and Tejano 106.5 KQQK among others including KLOL's Mega 101.

"It's been a long time and it's the moment," Corona told mikemcguff.com minutes before the station's launch at Entercom Communication's Houston studios in Greenway Plaza. "It's the right time at the right at the right place with Entercom and us."

In Houston, you'll be able to hear Puro Tejano Fierro on 101.1 KLOL HD-2. In Dallas, the new station will be on La Grande 107.5 FM KMVK's HD channel band.

Corona says he'll be spinning new Tejano artists with the legends you know like Houston's own La Mafia, David Lee Garza y los Musicales, Jay Perez, Selena and Emilio Navaira.

"And the response on Facebook has been overwhelming," Corona told me about the station's pre-launch announcement on social media. "People have been going, 'Hey Bo, glad Tejano is back in Houston. We miss you. We missed Tejano music. This is what it's all about, because we get to have our local DJ talk about local events that we have in the city of Houston.' And that's a big part."

Corona will be on the air Monday through Friday from noon to 5pm.

If you are not in Houston or Dallas, you can listen to Puro Tejano Fierro through Radio.com and its app.
