With the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo kicking off, let's look back to February 1970 when the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, played the big event in the Astrodome.
"It scares me...it's a big place," Elvis said of the Eighth Wonder of the World to a room full of Houston reporters. "It's been a long time since I've been on stage in front of anyone live."
The reporters asked him about his outfit which Elvis said was taken from a karate uniform. Elvis added he'd been involved in martial arts at the time.
Listen to Elvis Presley perform a few year later at the Houston Astrodome on March 3, 1974.
