Brandon Walker joins KPRC 2

Brandon Walker joins KPRC 2 from News 12 Connecticut

Yankee Doodle came to Houston, Riding in a news van, Stuck an IFB in his ear, and dropped off two reporters.

UPDATE FEBRUARY 2023
Brandon Walker leaves KPRC 2

I start off with a cheesy version of Yankee Doodle today because it is the state anthem of Connecticut and Houston TV is receiving two reporters in one week from the Constitution State (I am also sick and slightly feverish, but nevertheless still blogging for you).

Brandon Walker joins KPRC 2 as a morning reporter the station has confirmed to mikemcguff.com. The other New England reporter hitting the soon to be steamy streets of the Bayou City this week was Josh Chapin who joined KHOU 11.

Walker arrives from cable outfit News 12 Connecticut where he was a reporter and fill-in anchor. Before that he worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at YNN, Your News Now, in Albany, New York as a bureau chief.

From 2008 to 2010, Walker worked on the national desk of CBS New York. Ahead of the network, he worked as news director/anchor/producer for KRLX-FM, Northfield, Minnesota.

No stranger to humidity, Walker actually got his broadcasting start as an assignments editor at WGNO-TV, New Orleans while in high school. He certainly earned his stripes there in the days following Hurricane Katrina.

Walker has degrees from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
