Newly designed and constructed NBC 5 / KXAS-TV and Telemundo 39 / KXTX-TV news sets will be fully showcased beginning Sunday evening, November 3rd, from The Studios at DFW. NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 formally opened their state-of-the-art broadcasting and multimedia news facility located just south of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on October 1, 2013.

The new sets are specially designed to allow journalists and meteorologists to deliver breaking news and weather information fast and effectively in a way both English and Spanish-language North Texas viewers will find compelling.

The Telemundo 39 broadcasts will be the station’s first newscasts produced in high definition (HDTV).

Both news studios incorporate cutting edge technologies to report news-of-the-day in a meaningful and visually-interesting way featuring multiple touch screen monitors and monitor arrays.

PDG/Jack Morton designed the sets and blackwalnut was the fabricator.
