KXAS NBC5 reporter Kimberly King leaves station

An anonymous reader wrote in and asked where Kimberly King of NBC 5 KXAS in Dallas Fort Worth has been.

King was hired earlier this year to be the DFW NBC owned and operated station's 'NBC5 Problem Solver' from Tribune owned Fox 59 WXIN Indianapolis.

Turns out King has left the station in the last weeks.

"Kimberly King made a difficult decision to leave NBC 5 because of a family matter," an NBC 5 Station spokesperson told mikemcguff.com. "We respect her need to make her family a priority."

King is quite the accomplished journalist. She's won awards from such groups as the Edward R. Murrow organization, Emmys, Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Her last story appeared on KXAS's website nbcdfw.com in late November (embedded below).
