I asked for suggestions and got a lot of them concerning what to wear to the Houston Ballet's Nutcracker performance. It was on a Saturday night so I went with a suit with no tie. For the most part everyone was dressed up. As I facebooked, I even saw a guy in black leather pants.
But of course some dudes were in jeans, the guy next to us was in khakis. It was my wife's first big night out after James' arrival so I thought I should make her happy with my appearance. Thanks to the mom-in-law for the tickets and the babysitting!
We went to The Grove in Discovery Green before the performance. What a great restaurant. (See a photo I took of The Grove the day the park opened) Good food and atmosphere with a great view. We had to sit in the bar area because the place was booked up all night! Go figure. Didn't see that one coming. I got the duck meatloaf. Yeah you read that right.
