Cole Banker is joining News 4 Tucson KVOA as the station's main sports anchor.
Banker arrives in Tucson from KAMC/KLBK in Lubbock, Texas, where he most recently served as sports director after being promoted in September 2025. He initially joined the stations in June 2023 as a sports anchor and reporter, covering Texas Tech athletics, high school sports, and regional sporting events.
A 2023 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Banker earned a bachelor's degree in journalism, along with a minor in statistics and a certificate in sports analytics.
While at Missouri, Banker worked as a sports anchor, reporter, and multimedia journalist for KOMU 8 News in Columbia. He also spent more than three years as a play-by-play broadcaster for KCOU-FM 88.1, calling numerous high-profile SEC sporting events and hosting sports programming for the student-run radio station.
In other KLBK news, Keegan Cooper joined the station as weekend sports anchor/reporter in January 2026.
