Erica Rico, co-host of 93Q KKBQ Houston's "Riggs, Katelyn, and Erica – The Q Morning Show," celebrates 15 years with the station.
"It's my work anniversary," Rico posted on Instagram. "It's been a long, wild, fun, hard, tiring and rewarding 15 years!!! Best part of my job always has been and always will be....y'all! Thank you for your support and love these past 15 years. I love y'all so much."
Rico started at 93Q with Tim Tuttle and Kevin Kline. After they separately left the station, Katelyn Maida and Andy “Riggs” Riggle joined the country morning radio show.
Born into a large family in Arizona, Rico moved to Texas in 2005. She and her husband, Mark Contreras—a first responder and veteran—have a blended family of 10 children and are proud grandparents to five grandsons.
Rico has a diverse background, having appeared on reality shows and hosted her own cooking and BBQ programs. Despite her busy schedule as a mom to active kids involved in nearly every sport imaginable, she remains deeply committed to giving back to her community.
Over the years, Rico has earned numerous accolades, including being voted the "Hottest Woman in Radio." She’s also a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Grand Champion in Celebrity Wild Cow Milking and Llama Showing and a Reserve Champion in Celebrity Goat Milking.
Her on-air and off achievements have earned her widespread recognition and numerous radio industry awards.
