KPRC 'Houston Life' changes coming

Houston Life is moving and getting a new EP

KPRC 2's Houston Life is going through some ch-ch-changes.

UPDATE JANUARY 2023
Courtney Zavala leaves Houston Life on KPRC 2

The afternoon talk show, which airs weekdays at 1pm and his hosted by Derrick Shore and Courtney Zavala, is moving studios and getting a new leader the station has confirmed to mikemcguff.com.

When the show debuted in August of 2016, I loved how it was housed in the Houston Galleria. It was our version of the Today Show or WFAA 8's Victory Park studios in downtown Dallas.

After two years in the mall, Houston Life will be moving to the channel 2 studios on the Southwest Freeway in early July.

And as I mentioned, the show is looking for a new executive producer to replace the outgoing Don Graham who started the show.

"Monday was Don Graham’s last day at KPRC," a KPRC spokesperson told mikemcguff.com. "Don did a fabulous job of getting the show on the air, building a strong talented team and making it the success that it is today. We wish Don the best in his future business pursuits and appreciate the time he spent with us."

Graham also worked on Great Day Houston at KHOU 11. Before that he was Executive in Charge of Production on the nationally syndicated, The Gayle King Show (now CBS This Morning host and best friend of someone super famous).

He once told me he worked at KXAS NBC 5 in DFW when Charlie Rose was a talk show host and Scott Pelley was a producer!
