Leigh Frillici joins KPRC

Former KHOU 11 reporter Leigh Frillici joins KPRC 2

My 2012 post Where's KHOU's Leigh Frillici? is suddenly becoming relevant for 2017.

Why?

Frillici will be back on KPRC 2 starting soon as a temporary reporter.

"It's exciting to return to Houston news with a powerhouse station like KPRC," Frillici told mikemcguff.com. "They needed a freelance reporter and this opportunity came at the perfect time. Looking forward to joining this strong team in telling the stories that matter to Houstonians."

Five years ago, Frillici told me she did not renew with KHOU because she had two young children and wanted to concentrate on them.

Apparently last fall, the TV bug called back to her. She did some freelance reporter for WTNH New Haven, Connecticut.

How did she pick that station to make a return to TV?

Before KHOU, Frillici reported for WTNH and WFSB in Connecticut.

And it just so happens, that her former Channel 11 news director, Keith Connors, is now the news director for WTNH.

Even when not on the air, TV News has been in Frillici's thoughts.

In 2014, Frillici and Connors co-founded UNews Digital, LLC. The company makes an app for TV stations that, "enables better monetization of digital video and content across multiple platforms while creating a personalized news experience for the viewer."
