Iconic KTRK abc13 anchor Dave Ward returns to 6pm broadcast after fall earlier this year

Dave Ward is back on the KTRK abc13 6pm news where he belongs.

The legendary anchor returns after having to be hospitalized from a fall at the Disney/ABC Television Group station earlier this year. As a result he had to recover from a hairline type fracture on his pelvic bone.

"I'll be back in time for the rodeo parade come hell or high water," Ward told mikemcguff.com at the time.

He was correct. Ward did make an appearance during this year's rodeo parade broadcast, but it was from a live shot in his home.

In January 2012, Ward fell at the station and made it back in time for that year's rodeo parade.
