Josh Chapin of NBC Connecticut WVIT is starting as a reporter today at KHOU 11 confirmed station Executive News Director Philip Bruce to mikemcguff.com.

Chapin said on Facebook he is from the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It got me thinking, and I wondered if he was related to musician Harry Chapin. Bruce told me no, but Chapin's mom is an entertainment lawyer. No cats in the cradle here!

According to his bio, Chapin joined WVIT in November 2012 as a reporter in NBC's New Haven bureau. Before that, he worked at News 12 The Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn as an anchor/reporter.

Chapin is a 2009 graduate of Duke University where he earned a degree in classical languages and broadcast journalism.

  2. I just saw on khou Josh Chapin reporting on the "chaos" in downtown Houston and I quote him saying" I just saw a sign that made me think it said make America re-think"...I was always under the impression that journalists were supposed to do their reporting without having a bias opinion.....read about the fox news lady (farkar) who has been attacked for writing her opinion on Facebook ,she has taken backlash for what she wrote.....I guess KHOU does not believe in unbiased journalism.....sounds like biased reporting to me.
