Art Rascon to be honored at Sylvan Rodriguez Scholarship Gala

The Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals (HAHMP) is holding its 28th annual Sylvan Rodriguez Scholarship Gala – Escape To Carnaval, Saturday, April 5th at the Hyatt Regency Downtown.

KTRK abc13 Live at Five anchor Art Rascon will receive a lifetime achievement award.

Newly elected HAHMP president and KPRC 2 morning meteorologist Anthony Yanez will host the event with the 93Q Morning Zoo's Erica Rico.

The group will hand out ten $3,500 scholarships to deserving Hispanic students from the Houston area. Since 1986 HAHMP has handed out more than $700,000 in scholarships.
