Good news! Houston radio icon and Texas Radio Hall of Fame inductee Colonel St. James is back on the radio tonight!

The Colonel has been missing in action for the past weeks because of double bypass surgery.

"I feel much better, though not yet 100%," Colonel St. James told mikemcguff.com. "I guess it's kind of a slow process, but I'm getting stronger every day."

Nothing including surgery will keep him off the air so catch St. James back on 93.7 The Arrow KKRW tonight.

"I want to thank everybody for the incredible outpouring of well wishes and prayers," St. James told me. "I'm overwhelmed and extremely blessed!! Also, I return to 937 the Arrow this Monday night at seven and I hope everybody will listen!"

St. James is a survivor. He's recovered from two strokes - his second in 2011.

The Colonel has been delivering great radio to Houston and beyond since 1974 at stations like Rock 101 KLOL, 97 Rock KSRR, Oldies 94.5 KLDE, XM Satellite Radio, 610 KILT and a lot more.
