Amanda Perez returns to KPRC 2 from KFSN 30 Fresno; she likes Whataburger more than In-N-Out Burger too

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 17, 2014
Amanda Perez leaves KPRC 2 for Fort Bend ISD

Amanda Perez is coming back home to work as a KPRC 2 reporter. She has been working at ABC owned Fresno station KFSN 30 (sister station to KTRK abc13).

"After seven years at ABC 30, today I say goodbye and head back to Texas," Perez wrote on Facebook. "It has been an absolute honor to work with the members of the Action News team, who strive to produce the best newscast in the Valley every single day. You can't ask for better coworkers."

According to her bio, Perez arrived at KFSN in 2006 as a reporter. She became weekend anchor in 2008. Before California, Perez was in Texas at KAVU Victoria as an anchor/producer.

Perez graduated from Sam Houston State University. As a student, she was awarded with the school's Dan Rather internship. That gave her a chance to work at CBS News and 48 Hours.

What stands out to me is that before KAVU, Perez was an editor in Houston, at you guessed it, KPRC.

An internal KPRC memo obtained by mikemcguff.com says Perez starts at KPRC April 8th.

This is funny. When Perez said goodbye on Twitter, someone tweeted her, "When you get to Texas, can you have a @Whataburger for me, please?"

Perez responded she likes Whataburger better than In-N-Out Burger. So the official Whataburger account chimes in and says to Perez, "Thanks for choosing Whataburger, we look forward to serving you." How would Wannaburger have handled it?

Here is a KFSN Perez story I found online (embedded below):
