What happened to Kenny Hand on Extra Points (Channel 13)? He has not been on this year.
Just wondering.

Here is what Kenny Hand told me:
What I was told is that the Texans wanted to rotate some of their former players into one of the three spots on the show. For whatever reason, I was the odd man out.
It was really disappointing, but it's just business. I had done that show for 20 years as one of the three original panelists with Ralph Cooper and Ed Fowler.
Things are good, though. I am associate publisher for Texas Links golf magazines (Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth). We are the only golf publication in Texas that produces monthly magazines in both of those markets and we are going to be coming out with a 400-page Insperity Golf Bible for Houston and another one for DFW next spring. So staying plenty busy.
Other things changing about the KTRK 13 Eyewitness Sports department is the impending departure of sports director Bob Allen. Allen told us TV viewers he was leaving late last January.
And of course in October 2011, weekend sports anchor Tim Melton suffered a stroke and has not been on the station with a regular presence since then.
