Fox 4 KDFW hires Latoya Silmon

Latoya Silmon joins the FOX 4 KDFW news team, announced Robin Whitmeyer, the station’s Vice President and News Director. Effective November 5th, Latoya will be a general assignment reporter for “Good Day” from 4:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

In making the announcement, Whitmeyer stated, “Latoya’s passion for local news, versatility and ability to connect with viewers make her a great addition to the ‘Good Day’ team.”

Most recently, Silmon served as Anchor/Reporter for KTUL-TV in Tulsa, OK. Prior to that, Silmon was Anchor/Reporter for KOTV-TV, Tulsa, OK. Earlier, Silmon was Reporter/Anchor for WYFF-TV, Greenville, SC and Reporter/Producer/Anchor at KCEN-TV in Waco, TX.

Added Silmon, "It’s a dream come true to be able to return to my hometown and work for FOX 4. I can’t wait to get started telling the stories of the community that shaped the person and professional I am today.”

Silmon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Houston.
