Where's KPRC 2's funny morning guy?

A reader named Laurie wrote to me about former KPRC 2 morning financial contributor (by way of CNN Newsource) Carter Evans.

KPRC had a male "Your Money" reporter who was witty, funny and interesting. Starting a couple of months ago he was replaced by a series of bland women. I don't remember his name, but would like to know if he went elsewhere. Do you know who I mean? Any info?

TV Spy has the answer. Last November, the site said Carter Evans was following his wife to the West Coast and leaving CNN Newsource.

You may know of Evan's wife, Fox News entertainment reporter Courtney Friel.

She got a gig at Fox owned station Fox 11 KTTV where she covers Hollywood for that station as well as other stations (including some work for FNC still).

No word on what Evans is up to now. His site still has him as working at CNN Newsource.

  1. Hi Mike and Laurie,
We all really miss Carter, he was great!

  2. Carter was great. He even made the unwatchable Freeman act nice while on air. Best of luck to him.

Meanwhile, back on the ranch....the inept Reyna somehow was permitted to sit in the anchor chair again this morning. I was laughing at her amateur hour as she couldn't pronounce the last name of former Illinois Gov Blagojevich; she couldn't pronounce "Newt"; and she looked like a 2nd grader when trying to act smart and ask Mark Boyle a follow-up question to a report. How does this hack remain in front of a camera?

  3. you should've seen this a.m. That arrogant blowhard Conflenti yelping and screaming fake laughs in the background during the weather. I wish the jerk would get fired already. He's such a slimy, presumptuous ape.

  4. Saw carter evans on san diegos XETV CW 6

  5. Thanx for the info on Carter Evans. I really don't care for the females that are filling in.

  6. He's now back on CBS2 in Los Angeles
