KIAH 39's NewsFix continues to add new segments. The latest has a sports theme with SportsTalk 790 KBME host Charlie Pallilo (video embedded above). The segment is called Day in Sports which is similar in structure to Day in Music with 107.5 The Eagle KGLK's Dean And Rog.
"Hopefully [it's a] fun minute featuring the notable and/or quirky and one sports birthday," Pallilo described to mikemcguff.com.
“Charlie is a walking sports almanac," said Newsfix Imaginator and Executive Producer Gary Jaffe. "His insight always makes you think and his viewpoint fits in perfectly with the Newsfix audience.”
Day in Sports airs on NewsFix Wednesdays and Fridays at 5pm and 9pm.
Pallilo has notably been a big contributor to KTRK 13's Extra Points program with Tim Melton. He tells me the NewsFix segment will not interfere with his role on Channel 13.
