Fox 26 KRIV reporter Pattie Shieh exits station

I received word that Fox 26 KRIV reporter (and former anchor) Pattie Shieh has left the station.

Her last day was Friday July 15th.

“Pattie’s contract has not been renewed," A FOX 26 spokesperson told mikemcguff.com. "An extensive search for her replacement is underway.”

According to her bio, Shieh is a graduate of the University of Houston. She is also Emmy nominated.

  5. Sorry to see her go. I hope this doesn't mean KRIV is bringing in yet another inept a third implant having West Coast hack as new "talent".

  9. Even though she dressed and looked like a very old woman, she was a SOLID reporter. there are more people more deserving of the ax (zizka) that should be gone from that place. the general manager and a certain exec producer should be gone too. they believe in the status quo i guess.

  11. We will miss Pattie. She was hands down the most popular person in the newsroom, well except for mgmt. She is a good reporter, much better than some that have come after her. This seems to be the way 26 is going, younger, less experienced, and less tenure. None of the hires in the last couple of years will last five. BTW did Kane have an operation? She looks ...different, but in a good way. I wish there was an operation to help her write better.

  12. no way was she the most popular person in the newsroom.not by a long shot, just with whomever she hung with. good reporter but not at all dressed like other reporters in the market. very frumpy. age and looks have a lot to do with it and unfortunately pattie did not have either

  14. The previous poster is correct. Older age reporters are frowned upon by the powers that be at KRIV.

  15. Stipes+Bomke+Kane+new traffic girl likeability< Pattie left heel. Not at all frumpy, as if that even matters. Yes she was well liked by most- so yeah she was one of the best liked.

  16. Back in the 90's, I was a photographer at a crappy local all news station. I usually went to scenes by myself and she was always happy to help me out with some information about what was going on or holding my microphone during a press conference. Nice lady, sad to see her go.

  20. I believe she was not renewed, because of an "S" bomb I heard prior to her release. Not exactly sure when it happened.
