KCBS 2 reporter Serene Branson's slurred Grammys live shot

The video of KCBS 2 reporter Serene Branson's Grammy live shot is making the rounds today. In the video, Branson introduces her piece but her words become immediatley garbled.

As is the case with the Internet, first it was uploaded and made fun of, then it was believed she suffered a small stroke on live TV. However KCBS says she did not have a stroke, but was checked out by paramedics afterwards.

(Thanks Bob and Rorschach)

  1. My first thought was that she was drunk, but if she checked out OK by paramedics, what else could have caused it?

  2. If she checked out OK with paramedics, what else could explain it? My initial thought was that she was drunk.

  3. She should still follow up with a neurologist and/or a vascular surgeon. What transpired had all the hallmarks of a TIA which comes and goes with few (and subtle even then) symptoms, but a TIA is a bellwether of a much larger stroke coming down the pipeline.
