News 8 Austin's news director Kevin Benz, who has been at the station since it signed on cable, has exited. I always heard good things about the guy. I believe he was a former TV news photographer. Benz is on the RTNDA Board of Directors.

Kevin was a photographer at KPRC, leaving in the mid-90's to take the Austin gig.
