KIAH 39 news management change, KHOU 11 gets new executive producer

Since I am a freelance reporter at KIAH 39, I had to get clearance to bring you the following post.

News executive producer Perry Pace has announced he is leaving KIAH for KHOU 11. He will be the morning executive producer and starts at the Belo Houston station December 13th.

Pace is a great EP and I really enjoyed working for him (he is the one who gave me a job there too!). KHOU is lucky to have him back. That's right, he has been there before as the 6pm and morning show producer at points in the past. He also served as the senior producer who helped sign WB39 news on the air back in 2000.

So who is taking Pace's spot at KIAH 39?

Look to jack of all trades Steve Simon. The anchor/reporter/commentator is adding interim executive producer to his resume!

Congrats to all involved.
