McGraw-Hill Broadcasting, a unit of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), today announced the appointment of Larry Blackerby as vice president and general manager of WRTV, the ABC-affiliate station in Indianapolis, effective Jan. 3, 2011. Mr. Blackerby has more than 30 years of experience in television markets around the country, including Palm Springs, CA; Jacksonville, FL; Jackson, MI; and Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, NC. Most recently, he was vice president and general manager of KPRC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Houston, which he joined in 2006.
Mr. Blackerby holds a bachelor's degree in Radio-Television-Film from Indiana State University and an associate degree in Applied Science from Lake Land College.
Mr. Blackerby succeeds Donald Lundy, who is retiring at the end of 2010 after a distinguished career at WRTV and The McGraw-Hill Companies.
