KPRC 2 gets Golf Channel's Iain Page as new anchor

The Houston Chronicle's David Barron reports that KPRC 2 is getting a new anchor/reporter type.

Barron says Iain Page from the Golf Channel is coming in as a weekend anchor for KPRC channel 2.

According to his Golf Channel bio, Page joined the network in 2004 and served as a reporter and host for Golf Central. Before that he was a sports dude at WAPT in Jackson, Miss., hosted SportsCenter at ESPN and acted as a regular contributor to ABC World News Now.

And get this, the bio says Page was a lawyer for six years before becoming a TV sports guy.

Watch out for Page in a couple of weeks.

  1. Odd to see them go back to 2 anchors on the weekends after going solo for so many years. Doesn't seem like the best use of resources. Makes me think they have bigger things planned for Mr. Page.

  2. Crazy. They just non-renewed Jerome Gray's contract and let him go to cut back on expenses, right after they hire this mature looking Iain Page (who live on TV looks older than in this photo. So they booted an anchor who has been in Houston many years for this guy, who knows nothing about Houston?
