Offensive tweet gets Dallas radio host fired

Jeanne Jakle of the San Antonio Express News reports that Dallas-Fort Worth station Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket KTCK has fired a show host due to a racial slur he sent on Twitter:

Dallas sports talk station KTCK has fired producer/personality Mike Bacsik, who sent out the offensive tweet about "all the dirty mexicans in San Antonio" following Sunday's Spurs-Mavericks game.

His boss, KTCK/Cumulus market manager Dan Bennett, called to say the station originally had suspended Bacsik pending an investigation. But after examining the facts, Bennett said, "we decided to terminate his employment." READ MORE


  1. I'm not defending that tweet in any way, but back in the day, that wouldn't even have raised an eyebrow at the old Ticket, which was an irreverent independent talker. Life at a big corporate radio station must feel a little different for some of those folks today.

  2. He'll be on hanity or limbaugh next, or be a sho-in for a AZ job.
