Houston gets Lingerie Football League team

Houston might have lost the WNBA Comets franchise, but we are now picking up the Lingerie Football League expansion team:

There is no bigger stage for Friday Night Football then Houston and the state of Texas. When the LFL arrives to Houston in 2010, the term Friday Night Lights will be re-introduced to both hardcore and casual Houston fans in a Mardi-Gras type atmosphere of football meets the Friday night culture of good times with friends", said Mitchell S. Mortaza, Founder & Chairman, Lingerie Football League.

League officials are actively scouting prospective arenas and stadiums throughout the Houston metropolitan area. Houston residents are being asked to submit potential names for their LFL franchise.

Along with Houston joining the Western Conference, it was announced earlier today that Orlando will also kickoff play in the Eastern Conference for the 2010/2011 season.

Currently, the LFL includes teams in (10) ten major market cities which include the Seattle Mist, San Diego Seduction, Los Angeles Temptation, Denver Dream, Dallas Desire, Chicago Bliss, New York Majesty, Tampa Breeze, Miami Caliente and Philadelphia Passion.

LFL, Friday Night Football features some of the America's most beautiful and athletic women playing 7-on-7 full-contact tackle football on Friday nights at major NBA, NHL and MLS arenas and stadiums as part of LFL, Friday Night Football. On GameDays fans are treated to a Disneyland-like setting with Tailgate Village festivities that include beer gardens, video gaming lounges, BBQ smokers, football challenges, player meet/greets, LIVE music etc. Once the doors open, fans enter an atmosphere of Las Vegas meets football which include edge-of-your-seat 'I can't believe I just saw that football'.
