Dallas and Fort Worth newspapers team up, is this next for TV?

There is lots of buzz in newspaper land about the sharing of content between rivals The Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram:

Just a dozen years ago, newspapers on either side of Arlington, Texas, fought fiercely for every reader in the fast-growing city, spending millions of dollars to expand their staffs and cover the smallest meetings and sporting events. Will this happen more in publishing? My guess is yes. Will it happen in TV? Already happening. I posted a few months ago about how Fox and NBC owned and operated stations are sharing photographers and helicopter resources. That agreement exists in Dallas/For Worth too, but not yet in Houston that I know of.

One of my college professors made the prediction in class more than a decade ago that there will eventually be one newspaper and one TV station in each market that do local news.  Most likely they will be partners.  Stay tuned...
