Where is Deborah Duncan?

I'm asking because a guy on a Houston board has noted that she will not be on NewsRadio 740 KTRH Monday afternoon!

I went to the NewsRadio 740 KTRH web site and looked at the schedule page. Sure enough, no Deborah "Debra" Duncan on the roster. She still has an email link though.

Hmmmm....

First Atom Smasher and Maria Todd - now Deborah Duncan? It can't be!

Or is she just taking time off? It is still prime vacation time.

Maybe that Chris Baker Blog will have the answer in a non-RSS form.

UPDATE:
Thanks to everyone who posted and let us know what was going on. Billboard's Radio Monitor is reporting the following:

Changes at KTRH/Houston, as Debra Duncan drops her 1-3pm airshift to concentrate on her TV and singing career. WOAI morning guy Joe Pags adds her shift.
Singing career? KHOU must have a lot of vocal talent in the drinking water.

Why can't she get another talk show on TV? That's her real talent.

From my insider friend at Clear Channel...Deborah left at her own will. This had been known internally for a few weeks; Friday was her day to sign off.

She apparently got tired of doing double duty as the CH. 11 morning host and then going to CC and prepping/doing her show until 3pm.

In PR and talked to DD on Friday...she said she was tired of doing both shows. Don't know if there is a replacement for that slot yet or not.

The person who took her spot, Joe Pags, works at Clear Channel's flagship talkradio station 1200 WOAI in San Antonio (he just started for them a year ago). Listening to the topic today, he is talking about the Red Light controversy in Houston. Is Clear Channel broadcasting him from SA to Houston and redirecting the phone calls here or is he actually in Houston?

He's still doing both shows, and apparently lives in the San Antonio area (WOAI says he calls San Antonio home, but it also lists him as living in Spring Branch TX, which is SA area). So, it appears that Clear Channel has him talking "local" topics in two distinct, different cities.

Frankly, I think it's kind of insulting that a radio powerhouse like KTRH has someone kinda-sorta doing "local" radio this way. But my suggesting as much REALLY seems to upset Joe Pags. I'm surprised he hasn't stopped by here too. Something for McGuff to look forward to! :P

Clear Channel is no stranger to using talent from other cities for their stations. Guess it's time they moved the voice track system to talk radio too, granted he is actually live in this case. Right?

Yeah, he IS live.

But the whole thing is unseemly. For instance, TODAY he's talking about the mayor's initiative to discourage street begging. That started YESTERDAY, but of course there were more reports posted online after it started, which helps someone who lives in the San Antonio area prepare for his "Houston" show.

So phony. Why not just have the guy talk state or national issues, instead of splitting time between "local" San Antonio/Houston radio?
