Victoria Lara left her KLTV and KTRE Tyler "Good Morning East Texas" anchor role and the TV news biz in December 2024.
Lara joined the Gray Media East Texas stations in June 2020 as a multimedia journalist (MMJ). In October 2022, she became the weekend morning anchor, followed by weekday mornings.
The University of North Texas grad worked as a reporter and news director for the school's North Texas Television as a student.
She interned with CBS News Texas KTVT in Dallas-Fort Worth and earned a Telly and multiple Lone Star EMMY student production awards.
Also leaving KLTV is Good Morning East Texas Weekend anchor Andrea Valdez.
She joined the station in January 2023.
Valdez also graduated from the University of North Texas and was an anchor/reporter and assistant news director for North Texas Television.
Madeline McCrory joins the GMET Weekend team as a reporter.
