  1. McGuff, I've heard that Mayor Parker held a town hall meeting last night. Were you there ?

  2. I agree with your assessment that KTRK had the best televised coverage. And I also noticed KHOU was late to the story. I didn't realize they were suffering from floods at the studio, but that's no excuse if you're a real news organization. And it also speaks volumes about the incompetent "Barbie" as Gene Norman called her. I wish you had also noted that KPRC was up to its old tricks of fearmongering and tabloid news throughout their coverage. And whoever decided to put Dom Sachse on air in the mornings should be fired. She's a terrible anchor and is absolutely worthless in any "crisis" story.

Social media was the best source, especially Twitter. And that's gonna be the best source in the future too. It's proven to be best tool (Boston terror, Canada floods, New York hurricane Sandy, etc.)

    1. Chita is the weakest link when it comes to weather. Nice to look at, but that's about it.

    2. She's all photoshop. The bucked teeth and bleached hair aren't very alluring. And that drawl...ick.

    3. I don't see Chita being with KHOU-TV in the long-term 10 years from now!

    4. Look for Chita to end up on the network after KHOU. Or mabye a syndicated talk radio show.

  3. As long as she quits doing weather, I don't care what Chita does.

    1. Watching Chita this morning makes me wonder why KHOU doesn't bring in Mario or Brooke for Tropical Storm Bill. Just awful...
