KTRK 13's Don Nelson back on air after surgery
Rebecca Spera filling in on KTRK abc13 traffic duty has people talking
From what I understand Spera is just filling in while Nelson is away. Many times, Vikki Taylor does fill-in for Nelson.
For those who don't know, Spera is busy on KTRK's .2 channel Live Well HD (available on .2 stations around the US). She hosts Mirror/Mirror which covers fashion and beauty secrets. The show also airs on KTRK.
Readers of this blog will remember that Spera was a top Twitterer for KTRK. She was also a hot Houston media single in CultureMap's Most Eligible Bachelors and Bachelorettes party.
Before landing at KTRK, Spera was a producer and reporter for KHOU 11's Great Day Houston.

I heard her the other day. She's not good at all. Nelson or Vicki Taylor need to come back soon.

ReplyDeleteI have seen Bob Slovak do Sports, Downtown New Years Eve Party, If I remember correctly he did a behind the scenes of Broadway Shows in NYC, covered Dancing with the Stars, really enjoy watching him during the Mardi Gras Galveston Parades...I want to say he did a abc13 special on cirque du soleil a few years ago....HELL he can do it all....Why not Houston Traffic?

ReplyDeleteHey Rebecca has improved and YES SHE EASIER ON THE EYES. VIKKI is an employee of Metro Traffic. Maybe Channel 13 and Metro couldn't come to an agreement.

ReplyDeleteRebecca has a good attitude for the mornings but she is absolutely terrible. Her words don't flow smoothly. Doesn't compare to the others at 2 and 11. Sounds very unsure. Vicki Taylor MAY not look like Rebecca but she is much more confident in her reports. Mike, Can someone give us an update on where Don is and why Vicki is not filling in these days?
ReplyDeleteI heard Tom say this morning that Don was home recovering from shoulder surgery. Sure wish they would bring Vikki bad as his fill-in. Rebecca sounds so silly.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you can compare their looks. Rebecca puts A LOT of effort in her appearance, Vicki does not. It's sad that people aren't smart enough to tell the difference between fake and real!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Vikki is a real person, funny personality, excellent speaking skills and I love her traffic reports. I though she was being groomed to take Don's place if & when he retires.
DeleteI remember Rebecca when she did "Great Day Houston" and wasn't surprised when it didn't last, she is probably a very nice person but definitely should not be doing traffic or anything related to reporting. Bob Slovak was better - hands down> I could not believe that Vicki Taylor was not in for Don Nelson, is she still with abc13? I know that Don will probably have to be out again so PLEASE have VICKI stand in for him!!!! Don Nelson is absolutely the best and I love watching the 4 of them in the morning. It is fun, entertaining, and informative! I am hooked! Welcome back Don!!!!!
