KXAS 5 grabs meteorologist Lindsay Riley

NBC 5 / KXAS-TV announced that Lindsay Riley has joined the NBC 5 weather team as weekend morning meteorologist. In addition to forecasting on weekend mornings, Riley will report on environmental and other weather-related stories and features.

Before joining NBC 5, Riley forecasted weather at WLEX-TV, Lexington, KY and WIVB-TV in Buffalo, NY. She earned her B.S. degree in meteorology from The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), where she graduated with honors.

While in Buffalo, Riley was the meteorologist on a team that won a 2009 Emmy® from the New York chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for a January 2008 report entitled "WIVB Wake Up: Wild Windstorm."

"I'm very excited to join the NBC 5 team of meteorologists because I've been a true weather enthusiast since I was four years old," said Riley, "To work in such a large and dynamic weather region like North Texas is a dream come true!"

Riley joins NBC 5's team of experienced meteorologists, including chief meteorologist David Finfrock and meteorologists Grant Johnson, Rick Mitchell, Samantha Davies and Remeisha Shade.
