I'm told the design is a Post Newsweek creation and 100% produced within the company, mostly through the company's design hub in Miami. Scroll down to see what else made a debut on KPRC 2.

Monday also marked the premiere of a brand new promotional image campaign called “Proud 2 Cover Houston." Here are two images from separate promos featuring anchors Dominique Sachse and Bill Balleza.

So what?
ReplyDeleteWhy read/comment if you dont care? Anyhow, first thing I was reminded of when I saw the new graphics/colors were those of KHOU --at least the blue and gold/yellow color though it appears they still left some red in which is good in that sense.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Channel 2 for anything really, but that's a nice graphics package. Stylish and clean.

It's good to see them moving on from their old, red package. I'm surprised that they didn't keep more of a red theme since it's almost part of their branding. Some of it seems a little bulky and metallic and not as light and glassy as it was before... But anyway!
ReplyDeleteFresh graphics, new staffers ... they seem hungry to win. The old Lorelle / Balleza team gets a shout out (sort of) in the new GQ.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous...tell us more about the GQ mention.
Revlon....Maybelline...Mary Kay...doesn't matter what brand of lipstick you use, it's the same old pig...
ReplyDeleteWell, well, well... welcome to the big kids table K-Prick!
ReplyDeleteI like other stations gfx and talent much better than K-Prick.
KIAH is okay, but KHOU is the BEST!!!
It looks good! I think "Newsfix" should get a clue from KPRC.
ReplyDeleteThe bug looks weird just floating in that gray box. Too much air on either side. Guess since they are standard that they had to accommodate P-N stations that have more rectangular logos.

Really? Read what you you wrote and tell me you don't sound like a total dork. "KHOU is the best!" may be the nerdiest thing ever written on this site. What's next? KHOU rules! KPRC drools!
