CBS RADIO Houston promotes Mark Adams to VP over FM stations

Hot 95.7 KKHH-FM, Mix 96.5 KHMX-FM, 100.3 KILT-FM and Mega 101 KLOL-FM all have a new boss as of today. Mark Adams, who served as the KKHH program director, has been promoted to Vice President of Programming for the company’s four Houston FM stations.

“Mark has done a terrific job leading his Hot 95.7 and Mix 96.5 teams to performance highs," said Brian Purdy, CBS RADIO Houston Market Manager. "We’re excited to see and hear his stamp on our heritage Country leader KILT-FM.”

Adams held the PD title of Hot 95.7 since 2008. He took on the KHMX programming reigns in 2009. Prior to CBS RADIO, he was working in Portland as the Program Director for KXJM-FM, a rhythmic Top 40 station. He has also held programming positions in San Francisco, Milwaukee, Fresno and San Diego and has programmed mainstream Top 40 CHR, rhythmic Top 40 CHR and Hot AC radio formats.

Jeff Garrison, VP of Country Programming and KILT Program Director, will be returning to CBS Radio Phoenix as Operations Manager over KMLE-FM, KOOL-FM and KZON-FM.

"With HOT 95.7, 100.3 KILT, Mix 96.5, Mega 101, and SportsRadio 610, we already have some of the best stations and most well known brands in Houston," Adams said in a statement. "I’m excited to work with our music stations to help take them even further. We already have a great team here and I’m confident we’re only going to get better."

CBS Radio currently owns six radio stations in the Houston market including SportsRadio 610 AM and Talk 650 KIKK-AM as well as the Texans Radio Network broadcast on 100.3 KILT and SportsRadio 610. The company is located at 24 Greenway Plaza, Suite 1900, Houston, TX 77046. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
