Next month, KTRK 13 specialty reporter Ted S. Oberg will will lead a panel on the political consequences of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill concerning areas like climate change and energy legislation with Kristen Hays of Reuters.
This is a part of the larger "Oil Spill Litigation and Emerging Issues Seminar" featuring industry experts, governmental authorities and leading practitioners from around the country discussing clean-up efforts, pending litigation, damages and governmental actions.
Also making an appearance will be John Hofmeister, former president of Shell Oil Company. He is also the author of the new book, Why We Hate the Oil Companies: Straight Talk from an Energy Insider. Hofmeister will be tackling topics like the unfulfilled promises that politicians make with respect to energy independence.
The seminar will take place at the Houstonian Hotel on August 12-13.
