Which states lost/gained the most households plus worst winter cities

Lots of shuffling going around the US when it comes to population. This article shows where taxpayers moved to and moved from in the 50 states, from 2007 to 2008, according to an Associated Press analysis of Internal Revenue Service data.

Texas gained lots of new residents, largely from California.

That makes me sing:
"Texas knows how to party, Texas knows how to party
In the city of Houston, in the city of good ol' Dallas
In the city, the city of Austin
We keep it rockin', we keep it rockin'"

Maybe people just want out of the cold (see America's Worst Winter Weather Cities).

(Thanks Brian!)
