VIDEO: TV reporter slaps party guy
Clips of television reporters being accosted by onlookers is almost getting passe. But this one from KTNV in Las Vegas makes it all worth it again.
Reporter Steve Ryan is just trying to do his live shot about Michael Jackson from downtown Las Vegas when a tourist, with drink in hand, tries to take over. What does Ryan do? He slaps the guy. Suddenly the director cuts back to the shocked anchors.

I wasn't about to go leave my leave my comments on the video website, most of them sided with the drunk imbecile...
It's one thing to clown behind the camera, but when you impede the reporter from doing his job, that's where the line was crossed. The producer / director did the right thing by getting off the shot, but actually could have done it earlier. It sucks that as a station you are responsible for incidents out of the station's control, but "them's the rules".
I would like to see more of this on TV!
