Will Guitar Hero Save The Music Industry?

My wife and I picked up the Guitar Hero Nintendo Wii controllers for the first time the other day and actually reached level 3! I was on guitar, she was laying down the bass.  We were very familiar with the songs and I'm sure that didn't hurt.  I even got some whammy bar action in there.

The reason I bring this up is there has been a lot of talk about how the game could save the record industry. I doubt one game can make a difference, but the combination of Guitar Hero, Rock Band and others just might.
