The record companies are trolling your blog
Over the past weekend, I posted about how the new Raconteurs album was leaked online...by iTunes accidentally. What happened next? The Web Sheriff showed up to the mikemcguff.com blog and left this comment:

Hi Mike,
On behalf of XL Recordings and Warner Bros Records, many thanks for plugging "Consolers Of The Lonely" and The Ranconteurs' pioneering, 'fans-first' release concept ... .. it's a pity about the early leak via iTunes, but thanks also, on belalf of the labels and the artist, for not posting any pirate links.
Regards & Happy Easter,

Follow that link and it turns out the Web Sheriff is a site hired by the record companies, mostly in the UK, to fight digital piracy and protect celebrities online. Big brother is watching and advertising its services in your comments.
