Where is KTRH's Chris Baker?

I noticed something strange on the NewsRadio 740 KTRH web site. Chris Baker is MIA. He is not featured on the scheduled lineup anymore. Now councilman Michael Berry's show is in Chris Baker's spot.

However, both Chris Baker and Cynthia Hunt are still listed as a appearing afternoons on The 950 KPRC Radio Mojo. Naturally the question is, are these two off the air on KPRC? Has the Clear Channel webmaster just not taken down their page yet?

UPDATE (2/6/2008)
Chris Baker to KTLK-FM Minneapolis

UPDATE (1/21/2008)
I have talked with Chris Baker

UPDATE
blogHOUSTON found out about this too. Kevin says Baker is gone from both stations. Also there are details on radio-info.

UPDATE 2
There have been other Clear Channel cost cuts. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting that longtime Adventure Club host, Josh Venable, has been let go from 102.1 The EDGE KDGE.

UPDATE 3
MikeMcGuff.com Blog readers find Chris Baker on 640-AM KFI in Los Angeles.

"Screwed the pooch" is the phrase that applies here.

I've listened to Chris Baker since 2000. I enjoy W and J, but we need the cogent analysis and reason to go along with all the silly voices.

Not cool, MB, not cool.

If you mess with Savage, I can guarantee the 9-5-0 is D-O-A for Houston radio listeners.

2 very interesting things for the outsider like me who sees this as scary and shocking yet also as a fascinating soap-opera drama:
1) I emailed Berry about people getting things through politics albeit in a fairly diplomatic way. He said a few minutes later over the air that we have to get over this class envy and warfare mentaility and accept what people get over others.
2) about 3-4 weeks ago Mancow was annoucning how some hosts are good to him and some are not and you keep the good ones. He focused more on Houston than anything else and Baker was not good to him, Walton and Johnston were. I'm not saying but did this moo-moo dude shark Berry to vote Baker off the island? Wow, I just thought that life was only hard for me. What a wake-up call. Question: whereever CHris moves is he going to take Cynthia with him and will he be on the internet? Having said that I do think it is entertaining and very creative how Mancow's people splice together songs, comedy clips, political clips and so on with his ongoing soap opera. And I realize it can't all be great because he has a lot of air to kill- hell Chris would become repetitive after 5-30 minutes in many cases and just repeat himself over and over. But I hope he can get the primo clips and one of a kind people to interview to add to the politics and self-help on life. If he ups the ante he has a great show. In regards to Walton & Johnston still on the air and sounding very pleased with themselves I might add- Baker really blew it when he said they did all their prep work from his show and ripped him off.
Sometimes you can't be the only child fighting for fairness if you want to stay around- politics suck but they can be a reality. Sometimes you have to play the wrong and unfair sibling games and beat them at it. And pretend to be a poser- but remember it's only a pretend game if you do it right. But when you can get away with kicking ass- and it should only be done when it needs to be done- boy it sure feels great sticking it to the man! I'm sure Baker will bounce back but if he doesn't boy he doesn't have a degree and that puts him in a career crisis which means he probably needs at least an undergraduate- he has connections to get over affirmative action if he can't do engineering where they cant find women/minorities- but maybe a professional degree too. Maybe Berry should call up Glenn Charles and ask him if he has a job for CHris? I bet that at this point ""Garf" and "Sammy" feel great about being shuffled around in the time slots. Getting 5 days to prep and the safe dead slot on Saturday probably seems great to the tolken Metrosexual now. Isn't hilariious how he goes on and on about the greatest metrosexual in Televison history- well 2nd greatest, our own Zindler was #1- Speed Racer. It's either iPhone, callers issue or Speed with him. I think "Garf" is Speed grown-up. Not that this is necessarily bad albeit the priming of the hair, always wanting attention and the Jolt cola stuff gets old after a while but then those are the key Metero traits Anyway that aside he seems like a good guy and Speed Race is classic. But I have visions of him playing that new Nintendo all night since he doesn't work and his kid going Daddy can you be quiet I'm trying to sleep and his wife is all pssed off. I bet "Garf" is more high mantaninece than any chick. And he's probably always running around on her. I love how he keeps trying to get his photo with celebrities and then upstage them in the shot. He is such a metero.
Word to Berry: Watch how you act because people will remember when you are no longer at 950 and I understand that the real estate market is headed for a big fall in the upcoming and major recision everyone I have heard is saying will happen. Not might but will. Remember the fall is often faster and more painful than the rise. But having said that to get where he is today I'm sure he has major connections from his family.

If I said that Micheal Berry was smart, I would be laughed out of Houston quicker than I could get things packed. This was a dumb move. I'll listen to W&J, and then I'll listen to XM.

I think that Michael Berry is an idiot. Of course, he will say on air tomorrow that he thinks it is great when people call him an idiot, but I am not saying it as a compliment!

I love Chris Baker's show on 740, and I refuse to listen to Berry. I already tuned out of "the 9-5-0" since I am a mid-30s white woman and I am not their target demographic with the stupid and offensive shows Berry is pushing now.

I know that Chris will do all right because he is talented. I just hope that he and his family can stay in Houston. Some other station needs to step up big time right now, because 740 and 950 are crap except for Rush.

I have listened to Chris for several year and recently enjoyed the Baker/Hunt show. This was a huge mistake removing them and Michael Berry really is a bore and a jerk. Won't be listening. These two stations have lost me as an audience.

I am trying to understand how Clear Channel believes that Berry will be able to subst. Chris Baker. I would hope 700 or some other station would return Chris to the airwaves.

Stupid!!! No need to listen to KTRH any more!!! What a bunch of losers!! Best true and honest opinion expressed anywhere....

No reason to even program 740 anymore. Totally erased!!!

Well Baker can always be the Jungle Boy for Gilligan
on the Ken Hoffman Show. And Ken can set up Cynthia with Gilligan. Or she can just get married and have children- isn't that what most White chicks do?

Michael Nicholson said...

....Or maybe Cynthia can pose for the babe pages and
Chris can goofy dance on Garfield's webcam. It's sad and all but it is hysterical that Randy Lemmon and Michael Garfield kick Baker's ass. Here's to getting bugs off your tomato plant, the Beatles with Ken Hoffman and Hi-tech "Garf" going on about the Iphone and Speed Racer. Remember when we had that 24 hour Beatles station and they kept playing unknown solo work by George? No wonder the rest of the world thinks Houston is a joke.

Let's write to Chris if and when he gets another show and is on the internet and tell him what we think. ANd every once and a while I'll be catching up with Baker by putting the podcast on my ipod for when I walk the dog. Of course he may have to go back to Miami and be a DJ for the strippers again. Just a joke sir, just kidding. Although you do talk about the fun you had back then during the fatty days.

Anonymous said...

Boith fatty as in blunt and as in pre-stomach staple as Cynthia pointing out in such a tactiful way. Chicks can say anything they want and if we kick ass a little there feelings are hurt...

sorry about the above grammar-
good luck Baker- Maybe you can goofy dance for us on the Webcam for tips

Baker has turned into a sputtering radio gun nut in the past year and virtually turned every show into a single rant. He offered nothing new to any discussion, choosing instead to grind the same axe every day.

I didn't expect to see the day that he would be off the airwaves here in Houston. Not that KTRH or KPRC are anymore listenable, but at least he's gone.

Anonymous said...

First Pat Gray, then Glenn Beck and now Chris Baker. The local Clear Channel stations are losing it all. After listening to KPRC for 25 years and KTRH for 35 years, I will not be tuning in after today. (Not even for Rush.) I enjoyed the local hosts, but the new formats and hosts are a turn-off; reminding me of a bad Imus or poor Howard Stern.

Anonymous said...

I've made the switch to 700 KSEV. They have Pat Gray. As of this week they also have Glenn Beck.
Laura Ingraham is great.
Ed Hendee is taking action on issues(sueing David Dewhurst over state spending). Dan Patrick is awesome as well.

mikemcguff said...

My question is, why does Clear Channel Houston hate Glenn Beck so much? It makes you wonder when you see glowing reports of Beck's show and Clear Channel in places like the San Antonio Express-News:

Premiere Radio Networks, a syndication and programming arm of San Antonio-based Clear Channel Communications Inc., has extended its contract with conservative talk show host Glenn Beck.

Beck's program is the country's third-highest rated behind No. 1 Rush Limbaugh and No. 2 Sean Hannity, according to Arbitron data. The program airs in markets including San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. Beck's audience has grown 16 percent in the past year, according to Arbitron.

So...instead of offering compelling local talk he should be more like Olbermann? A sputtering TV gun-control nut who seems to be responding to the voices in his head instead of talking about football like he's paid to do on Sunday Night, for crap's sake?

How many people need to protect themselves with a gun, it's not like a car. if your not able to have sex right and you haven't figured out how to channel that energy somewhere else then go play lazer tag or vr games to feel like a man. Baker was great for 5-30 mnutes a time and then he just repeated himself over and over again with Cynthia good but also copying is stock things such as the sighs like she wanted to beat him. Chris worked best when he took chances and did things like having Justin Timberlake call up the show. Or the callers were hilarious and even fought with him. But otherwise he got stale. If he could up the good stuff and be more creative and I would give him slack for the amount of time on the air then he'd be worth coming back. Otherwise while Savage gets me mad and I sometimes turn him off- he says a lot of great things and provides great self-help plus he is creative and varied and unpredictable. You sometimes get the same deal like no I can't stand this ROck and Roll song for a dozne songs he starts to play day in and day out. Bot otherwise he is fresh albeit also real full of himself sometimes and wrong as well. For example Chamberlain was trying to sucker Russia into war with Germany which if you know your history was how WWII ended- the Germans finally years later went to Russia and lost in the cold. But he has too many feelings about things and is too stubborn. Mancow is a voice of reason but he seems to worry he is gay constantly and it gets annoying to hear. Plus the mix of comedy clips, film clips, interviews, politicis, bg music that matches his themes and so on is very creative but he needs to do it better and spend on getting clilps for us. I think his libertarian Michael Berry style views are just an excuse for his past sexual behavior and other things- a way to justify it. Walton & Johnston have great moments and the gay guy sometimes is great in coming into the mix albeit his focus on sexual references can get old- it's funnier when it's a kid saying it to an authority figure in a child-like yet naughty way after a while. Albeit that material works sometimes. And the way they stand up for White males is cool but also sometimes on the borderline of going too far. But then the other side is given the green to go too far so... I guess the real problem that I have with a lot of this stuff is that at some point it is hard for me to remember it and it becomes like Blah Blah Blah as there are a lot of topics or it's the same topic and I've heard it too much and some of it is a little underdeveloped and too easy. Savage has a presntation that I remember the most and he stick out the most to me and is varied. Baker is memorable and had great moments and funny stuff but got repetitive to the poitn where he just kept after a half hour or so saying the same thing.
Mancow is very creative but the gay focus- is he ashamed that he is gay- the way he focuses on it is annoying. And his positions seem a little sophmoric to me at times. But a very creative show. Berry need to listn to more before I can comment on him. So Baker definately had the talent to warrant staying but he needed to be more creative. And more debate with the oposition and say black people. LIke having Justin call up- just a wider variety of ideas. But then his show was great for 20 minutes or so during the rush hour and you knew you weren't missing anything so that's cool. NPR can be the best with great documentaries of all types of things but they scrap doing most of that in order to pond you with the same points we got the first 1000 times- we want some of the politics but mix the variety of life with it. It was Bush is bad and Iraq an immoral disaster- yes of course. Great but not 95% of the show. Then it was and is Hillary is the saint of all times and our savior probably because they want a woman. Bill probably bit the upper lip and more and she stood by him for that and so much more. How feminist is that NPR? How cool is it to put down blacks in that insultijng and racist way in front of Sharpton NPR? How cool is it for Bill to be on record for trying to invade Iraq 8 times until the Republicans had to impeach him to stop him from making the money off it? How cool is it NPR to support Murdok and take his money? 'So in my long way what I'm sayijng is everyone has great points but none of the hosts really focus on them enough to get over the bad sides except Dennis MIller the few times I've heard him. And his problem is he gets nervous and you can expect that when you are the encylopedia knowedlge frat boy style genius phd of hipster comedians. Savage comes closest to remaining consistant but his stubborness so he can't see reality gets in the way. He has a huge chip on his shoulder about not getting to use his Phd and probably getting into the programs at a time when grades did not matter and convincing people he is a genius. Wod to Savage- you convince people by showing your intelligence not sayijng you are the best. He doesn't show to me he is Phd level- Pat Buchanan and others rip him to shreds. But he does show me he has a sharp mind and can easily shift from one idea to the next and create variety for his show on a constant basis. And that is the main thing that hurt Baker- he could never change up his show after he made his initial talking point other than to praise guns, gibsons, hot chicks and fatties/blunts. A battle of the sexes could have been one way to adderss this defect. Crazed callers was another way and like putting them on hold. But that's not enough. Still he made for a solid and even great sometimes 10-15 minutes during rush hour until he just said the same points almost word for word. The hosts of shows in Houston and NPR should be listening to CBS This Morning- not for the type of content but for how it showcases a diverse variety- it might be the gay mafia topics- albeit in a non aggressive everything is gay way but in a good, creative way and creative is creative. But it is variety and solid. Chris seemed to come up with one talking point and rely on callers and then repeat that point over and over and that's where he hurt himself because otherwise he was very good at talk although a childish gun freak when all he needs is to play virtual reality military games the real professional ones to get over his sexual issues. Does he keep his guns around his boys? Anyway I can't edit for length and content but you get my point. More variety of talk and move up your analysis from the level of a cocky teen. Sometimes teens are the ones who get it because they don't have the sex and other buffers getting in the way of perceiving reality so they are more honest in their evaluation. But sometiems it's too childish or sophmoric to work for talk radio. Mancow is varied but he needs to focus on the right material and get away from simplistic LIbertarian points and his problems with his sexual identity- maybe he should see a shrink before going on the air. Becaue he could have a great show otherwise. The variety of comedy bits, film clips, political clips,
interviews, his opinion and calllers is the part of the equation- the variety missing with Baker. But then Mancow is a little flat and Baker and Savage despite being stubborn and sophmoric at times to the point 1+1 will always mean 3 to them and not the correct answer 1,9 repeating have the dramatic flair that lacks in Mancow or his ability to get topics going where you vicariously want to talk back- but way too much opinion and must go-
will keep listening to 950 and 740 unless they really go down while I walk the dog and in the car and sometimes during exercise and I will up the ante in these listening times if and when the hosts take my advise and get it right. But they do have the basis of good stuff and some classic moments.
It's sad about baker but he needed to vary his show more and maybe get more opinions from kids and stuff whatever- I'm all talk radioed out now- it's like brown Acid now.

michilines said...

RSP,

Baker wasn't offering 'compelling local talk.' He had become increasingly more obviously frustrated in the past year, and after the immigration debate and taking on that Nixon character as his 'law enforcement advisor' couldn't formulate any argument past shooting people. Did you here the interview that Baker did with a rep. from Homeland Security? Baker actually asked the guy why he (Baker) and a bunch of his friends couldn't go to the border and shoot people. The Homeland Security guy calmly told Baker that it would be illegal.

But you just keep obsessing about Olbermann, k?

RedStatePunk said...

I stand by what I wrote about Olbermann.

I think you missed Baker's critical tenet: we are citizens, not subjects. It is increasingly and painfully obvious that President Jorge (as Chris so aptly nicknamed him) is off the conservative reservation to the extent that few people can recognize what his true purpose might be, liberals or conservatives.

He's either up to some statecraft so sublime that we mere mortals cannot surmise it;

or, in the words of Homer Simpson, he's "stupider like a fox".

History will either vindicate him, or vilify him, as it usually does one or the other.

And the same goes for Chris Baker.

michilines said...

RSP,

Actually, I didn't miss the fact that Baker stated that often enough, but he never consistantly held to it. The example that I gave had nothing to do with that point. Laws are not made in a vacuum, as you well know. What Baker proposed is against the law -- law we as citizens agree to abide or face the penalties of failing to do so.

On the other hand, Baker never had a problem with accepting the Bush (pre-immigration debate)line of 'trust the government, we are protecting you,' nor did he ever question when Bush equated himself or his administration with the country at large. The 'trust us' argument from the Bush administration, whether it involved national security, off budget spending or any number of other issues, never bothered Baker a bit.

I always thought it was funny that Baker was ok with being a subject when he was afraid, but then wanted to break the law as a citizen.

As far as Bush himself goes, I think his stand on immigration is fairly simple. First, he is a person that always wants his way, even if that way is ill-advised. Second, Bush understands where his money comes from and he'll need to make some after leaving office. In that light, he needs to keep that small but wealthy constituency happy for as long as he's in office. Third, he really doesn't care what the voters think -- he doesn't need you all anymore.

Baker will be forgotten fairly quickly -- only to be recalled in Lone Star Times Houston radio nostalgia threads.

Does anyone have any idea how I could contact Chris Baker to extend my best wishes for him and his family?

hugh, given that Baker was active in the Republican party in Harris County, you could try contacting Jarid Woodfill. There is a blogger who defended Baker at every turn. Maybe he could hook you up.

Rorschach said...

Michelle, show me one time, just ONCE when I defended him. I recall posting about one of his shows ONCE, but I don't ever recall defending him. Even that one time the post was about the subject of the show, not about Baker.

That said, I LIKED Baker's show and I think Berry screwed the pooch canning him. But I challenge you to show me where I defended him.

Put up or shut up.

BTW Michelle, I count four mentions of Chris Baker on my blog. All but one were hat tips, meaning I got the story idea from his show. Oh, and one mention BY YOU in the comments bringing his name up out of the clear blue.

methinks YOU are the one with the Baker obsession.

I do not believe he is even in Harris County, much less part of the HCGOP. Last information I had (but admittedly it was pretty thin info.) was that he lived out in Crosby, I don't think that is Harris County.

Chris Baker show(s) will be missed. I will either listen to KSEV or download RUSH to listen to from now on.

Can't stand Hannity past the first 15 minutes, W&J are little boys with potty humor, Savage is 100% negative, and Berry was okay, but now I'm not listening anymore. Houston talk radio has turned into a few minutes of mindless filler between commercials and the news.

scott s said...

No more 740 or 950 for me - thanks michael berry (idiot) I will be tuning in to other stations. Chris Baker will be missed by many many people. Good luck Chris and hope you you do stay in Houston.

Anonymous said...

I'll miss their show...I like Hannity's politics but I hate his show. Just pure propoganda and not done well, either. Chris was funny, a regular guy, smart, and didn't tow the party line. Cynthia was tough, experienced, and let's face it, she's hot. Just listening to that southern drawl would ease the tension of another hot, humid, traffic-filled day on the Katy freeway.

Good luck Chris and Cynthia...let us know where you wind up. Berry's made a big mistake in programming. Not everyone wants to listen to national politics 24/7. Mancow doesn't have anything to tie him to this town. Nothing. He'll be off the air when his contract is up. W&J are funny but I can't listen to them with my kids. It's like the old KLOL: T&A, bathroom humor with some gun toting rednecks thrown in for good measure. Moby and Matthews all over again without the pediphilia and fake Texas drawl.

DirtGuy said...

I figured once Chris was moved to 950 and teamed with Hunt that the show was on the way out.

Sorry, Cynthia may be easy on the eyes, but I felt like she drug the show down. It sounded like a Pro (Chris) training a Noob (Cynthia).

I'd love to see Chris teamed up with Pat Gray at 700.

(No offense Ed)

RedStatePunk said...

I agree that Gray and Baker would be good; big crazy fun, 'nother words.

I always thought that Pat and Glenn Beck were a great team back in the day.

I sent an email to KSEV encouraging them to sign Chris Baker.

Anonymous said...

Look it's as simple as this. Baker is very good at the snotty or whatever he calls it but he relies on one topic a day and often topcis with very stock replie so it's like stating the obvious. Hunt provided the exposing of the double standards and unfairness of the sexes in a funny way that showed we including Chrissy need to butch up. . No on can be on all the time in talk there is too much content- but whether you like him or not in technical terms of the line-up Savage hits it the closest. And when the callers were on and unexpectedly conflicting and so on or Chris was on an only child trying to look like a cool kid effected by finally getting married and having regular sex and not a mama's boy then the show hit highs for that type of stuff. Sometimes best of highs. But it gets into long ruts too and maybe Baker was on the path to figuring out a format that is more consistent with Hunt and or other ways with other people coming on the air at times like Ramone, sound effects- but not the same 2 all show long and Ramone. Mancow has his downs like his obssesion with showing he is not gay that is annoying or gets in the way. But he is more varied that Baker- not as distinct but more is going on. And you can say Baker is more local but the Quantim X and Police stuff and so on is kind of
one-D local- I think with the Police unless you have say an emotional debate from blacks that is cool it's more you have to be in the action to get it llke the difference between Hockey on TV or in person or seeing the race from the top of the stands or from the driver's seat. That doesn't apply as much with a lot of mancow's stuff and yes Al is annoying at timse and quite frankly any race's version of an arrogant jerk. And so on. Yes the trivia doesn't always work because if you aren't obsessed with something like say Treekies or cheating on the interent you won't know and the material doesn't last over time. It's way better to just list universal amaaing facts that even if only about a place in time work forever and maybe have sound effects or interview the person or something like that. But the topics on Mancow are often universal and funny for a drive home or walk with the dog- say you can't say Cracker because it is offensive to Whites. I would also add I am very offended by being called a nerdy white boy because I'm expected to have affirmative action and more money on my part and in my world and non intentional flunk-out classes with quits changed to F first to get a chick and blacks can get away with so much more in that area. And Savage says things that are exaggeration but still very subjective and/or one-sided and his ego can be obnoxious. It's like he is always apologizing for getting away with having a low class rankling in school and getting to get a PHD and have the connections to get on radio. He sounds so insecure when he always has to prove himself like he needs the rewards to justify his life. But he is fast and he does a hat trick- he talks about a world that is different from ours and manages to be diverse and universal about it. And
the simple problem with Baker was there were long stretches- because i painted a room to like 3 repeats of his show too lazy to search for something else and without the ability to have the TV or music for background noise and it gets to the point where he says the same words over and over and over again and the callers just agree with each other or say the last guy stole my thunder. But I will say that when the caller got Baker pissed-off or he put one on hold or someone used fact to show he was wrong and maybe dishonest and Baker was mad or badly started to put words in the callers mouth in a way too obvious manner that the show got a lot better. it just wasn't consistent enough. But maybe he was moving and realistically with the amount of air time to that point and he got cut off too soon. It's sad that he's gone but aside from blue collar types who want to say finally somebody gets all that counts in life by calling him up people who don't really consider the 3-D of life despite sometimes making great points- he just didn't fully put it all together.
The snotty, the arguing with callers, the teenager who never grew up, the callers burning him, the diverse gimmicks (opps diversity, I think I've offended him- variety is not allowed on his program) and the move to being more than just a caller driven show with hi-fives for thinkning alike. He has the raw material especially if you are a blue collar Football fan type but the show needed more diverse creativity. Walton and Johnston has it's deals but you know they do stuff like have Plumber hang-up on them or illustrate how education starts at home a cool and funny way. Baker would just pound that idea like we never heard it instead of making the point and an appropriate amount of times not the whole show that it's not we know it- it's that we don't teach kids with tutoring and the right encouragement. We find the X and put an arrow next to it was a cool way of making that point and then you move on. Not Baker he would say 1000 times in a show I"m sick and tired of parents blaming the school when they don't take responsiblity for their kids. And what about the school people who punish the kids for this because they are too wussy to go after the parents when it is the adults fault. Oh well life goes on- I'm sure Baker will find another BLue Collar group and rise from the ashes and the hardcore fans can listen to him off the podcast.

I should have said as for Berry- the best deal is to ignore him and over time he will fade. He's not so creative like a Savage- albeit unique- to make it just on Politics. Not in the long-run.

Berry, of all people, who sucked hind teat in the radio talk market, and was going to get canceled and became one of the suits (he's got connections, ya know). Then, helped make the decision to axe (behind the back), the top talk show host this company has ever had. When CC needed numbers, they put Chris on. When another of their stations needed numbers, moved Chris...got the numbers, and then behind the back...got him axed. What a slime. Just like when on city council...

Just a couple weeks prior to that, at a CC luncheon, Michael was all but bowing before Chris, telling us all that he was the savior of talk radio in Houston. All the while, again, behind the back...BAM.

I think he's a slug. He's perfect to work in the suit suite with Clear Channel.

Good luck MB, don't forget, self-stated "Christian"...when you do unto others....

I would like to know why the KTRH advertisers that supported Bakers time slot have not gone for the throat of the leaders at KTRH for dropping Baker. Baker was a hugh market draw for there businesses. Who can afford to throw away the car because it has a flat tire. All I can say is, bring Baker back or good luck with selling advertising on Michael Berry's sunday school program.

I have made the switch to 700 - Getting rid of Chris was icing on the cake. W & J are just too stoopid and goofy first thing in the morning. Also their language is unpredicatable - droppin the big "P" word on AM radio first thing in the morning is wrong on so many levels. I want my Baker Back!!!!!

I liked Chris Baker. He was a very transparent guy, and he seemed to put his own opinions first. I will suggest that he lost a bit of his fire in the past siz months, but I still enjoyed his show. Mancow was exciting at first, but now it seems repeptitive, a cult-of-personality the reveals daily an increasingly smaller and smaller man.

I'm glad I got an iPod for Christmas. Now I can listen to podcasts during the morning commute. Producers beware - messing with a working formula won't earn new listeners. In the new media marketplace, the name of the game has to be listener retention.

Chris will be sorely missed by me. W&J are way too annoying with their foul language and so called humor. 950 is permanently erased from y radio. As for Berry he is just plain boring. I've switched back to KSEV again.

Good luck wherever you are Chris.

You know, Chris Baker had Berry on his show ALL THE TIME as an INVITED guest. I cannot stand that Baker was stabbed in the back and replaced by this moronic idiot. Berry's show is completely uninteresting and laughable.

Baker, best of luck to you and your family wherever you land. Rent a billboard in town and let us know where you are so we can tune in on the net!

Yahoo, Chris!

Chris Baker is now brodcasting from
100.3 KTLK in Minneapolis. His new show runs from 7:00-11:00 am. I for one am just happy to have Chris back on the air no matter where he hangs his hat. He covers all topics that relate to real life, and he doesn't sugar coat it for all the "pillow biters".
